The Curaçao Rif Mangrove Park is a remarkable city park on 30 acres of waterways and mangrove trees. The park differs from other parks on the island because it offers a unique insight into a special nature reserve. Mangroves are essential for Curaçao for both marine life, as to terrestrial life. These trees provide food and shelter for marine animals and are also used as nursery grounds for many marine animals. In addition, the mangroves provide coastal protection in the event of a hurricane, for example.
Visitors can experience the mangrove forest in various ways, including walking along our boardwalk, joining a guided walking tour with our park rangers, or embarking on a guided kayak tour led by friendly and knowledgeable rangers.
The park offers a relaxing and educational experience where visitors can observe a wide variety of unique birds and marine life that nest and thrive in a natural mangrove forest.
